Police arrest anti-gay demonstrators in Senegal

Africa - BannerJanuary 25, 2016 – Reported by the News Hub – Police in Senegal have arrested 11 anti-gay protestors in the capital, Dakar on Friday, for illegally assembly and demonstrating without authority. About 100 people from a 20-group anti-gay coalition led by ONG Jamra, staged the demonstration at the place de l’Obélisque in the centre capital. The demonstration was prompted by the recent increase in the number of homosexuals in the country and to express outrage over the release of some 11 alleged homosexual in Kaolack, about 200km from Dakar, who were arrested on 25th December during a celebration of a gay marriage in one Primary School…story continues below…
